Job Title:  Supply Technicians

Work Location:  Jacksonville, FL

Salary:  $18.33 per hour

Security Clearance:  Applicants selected with be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility for access.

Job Summary:

Under direction, the Supply Technicians shall perform technical supply management work such as inventory management material coordination, storage management, cataloging, property utilization relative to depot, local or other supply activities. Supply Technicians shall issue supplies from stock, prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock using ATICTS, and requisition consumables and tools to fill incoming orders through Government supply sources. Supply Technicians shall research individual FRCSE supply and inventory records that require resolution. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Supply Technicians shall possess good working knowledge of Government supply system programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, and publications. Supply Technicians tasking are segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Supply Technicians shall possess an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Supply Technicians shall maintain Commodities and HAZMAT lockers throughout the FRCSE. Supply Technicians shall issue HAZMAT using HAZMAT Management Systems (HMMS) or Regional Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP). Supply Technicians handling HAZMAT shall also be required to participate in quarterly and yearly hazardous waste handlers and spill drill training and may also be members of the Hazardous Material Control Committee (HMCC).

Required Skills and Education:

High School Diploma/GED

2 Years of Warehousing or Large Scale Receiving Operations Possess a valid Driver’s License Ability to lift up to 40 pounds in weight Ability to work independently and as part of a team on specific tasks Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Education :

Navy Experience

5 + Years Navy Supply Experience

>Knowledge of Physical Distribution Process Current or Prior Material Handling Equipment
